May 23, 2010 - The Water Table

Friday night I put together the water table that Nanny and Grampie gave Campbell for his birthday and left it in the kitchen next to the patio door. When he came down that morning he was thrilled with his new toy and had lots of fun playing with it (without any water). After breakfast I was going to put it on the back deck and fill it with water, planning to leave it to warm up while we went grocery shopping. Well when Campbell saw me dump the first thing of water into the table, he had wide eyes and just started to giggle. I realized then that there was going to be no waiting to play with the water table and probably no grocery shopping either. It was too much fun watching him walking around it, giggling almost too excited to know what to touch or try next. Unfortunately I didn't think ahead and missed a lot of the early on action but here is a clip from later that morning, (note he is still in his pj shirt).

May 22, 2010 (afternoon) - Puddle Fun

Due to the rain of the morning there were puddles. Well, due to the sun there was one puddle.
So too big rain boots and the splashing fun begins. :)

Sitting in puddles is even fun.

And then there are sticks outside to play with in the puddle. :) What is more fun than this...

Maybe pushing my buddy, Daniel, on his motorcycle???

May 22, 2010 (morning) - Museum of Nature Reopening

By special invitation, we all went down to the reopening of the Museum of Nature. There was a parade and everything but of course as you can see the rain came down.

Fear not, they did supply Emergency Rain Ponchos to the special invited guests. :)

Even though it was huge and he definitely would have had a nasty spill if he had of tried to walk, Campbell enjoyed his Emergency Rain Poncho. :)

We decided to spend the morning at Nadia's cafe and visit with her and Kenn, instead of listening to the parade in the rain.
On the way home, we stopped at Lone Star restaurant, Campbell was full of hugs for Daddy but not so fond of eating.

May 20, 2010 - Bike Ride #2

His cool dude bike helmet, is a hit. He seems to like it or at least he doesn't try and pry it from his head. :)



Off we go for bike ride #2.. He seemed excited strapping him in, looks happy here on his way back. But apparently wasn't so happy during the ride. Oh well maybe it will take some getting used to.

Sunday May 16, 2010 - First Bike Ride

First bike ride, Campbell wasn't sure about the whole thing but somewhat liked it. We will try again another day.

April 24th, 2010 - A Nice Day Downtown Ottawa

We had a great day roaming around the market, picking up treats (crepes and pastries) and then had a picnic in Major's Hill Park.

The tulips are out and Campbell wanted to touch them all. This one was on the ground already, so he did not do any damage to the millions of tulips. :)
