Saturday September 25, 2010 - Pumpkin Picking

So today we went to Miller's Farm to go for a wagon ride and pick out our pumpkin. They have a huge pumpkin patch there and you take a wagon ride to get down there, they stop in the middle of the pumpkin patch so you can get off and roam around to pick out your pumpkin. It was by far the most pumpkins I have ever seen and Campbell just loved it.. and he picked out a good one too..
On the wagon ride..
Of course you get a sucker on the wagon ride.. which Campbell loved..
How do you pick out a good pumpkin in the middle of a pumpkin patch.. You roam around, careful not to trip on all the vines..
You stop every now and then to check one or two out..
And then of course you knock on it.. Campbell had so much fun going around knocking on all the pumpkins it was funny to watch..
Campbell and Daddy next to the big tractor that pulled the wagon for the ride..

Picture of the a small part of the pumpkin patch..
Back up at the main store area they had all sorts of things, even funny looking gourds.
They had pumpkins of all sizes.. even baby ones..

Trying to lift the bigger pumpkins was a lot of fun and the lifting sounds were priceless..

There was hay bails to play in..
And of course who could leave without being a pumpkin themself..
What a great day it was.. we will definitely be doing this again next year..
