September 13 and 14, 2012 - Visit from Some Great Friends

Newfoundland friends, now living in Calgary, came for a visit. What a great time.. Visiting with such good friends is always fun.. but even more so when they have a little girl that is the same age as Miles.. It was so neat and nice to see them all play together.

Went out for a walk.. we had GREAT weather for their visit too.

Saturday September 1, 2012 - Campout in the backyard

Campbell's First Campout in a tent with Daddy.. They spent the morning setting up their camp and Campbell had so much fun. J put together a camping pack for Campbell, with binoculars, compass, flashlight, etc. He was so proud of his pack he carried it everywhere with him.

August 18th, 2012 - Last day for Campbell's Soccer and Kim's wedding

Last day of Soccer was a FUN day.. Campbell had so much fun.. 

Here he is getting his medal from the coach.. I think he was unsure about what to do.. :)

 Got a spider painted on his face.. and considering he wanted to be spiderman and he got a little spider instead.. I was pretty proud of him for being SO happy with what he got. :) He was so proud of that spider.. I think I got a million pics of that side of his face so that I got the spider.

Kim Pearcey married Trevor Kelly today.. The Pearcey family are family to us..

Thursday August 16th, 2012 - Last day at daycare with Oscar and Lily

Today was the last day that Campbell will be at daycare with Oscar and Lily..

Wednesday August 15th, 2012 - Trip to Agriculture Museum

Our plans with friends today fell thru at the last minute, so to get out and have fun I decided to take the boys to the Agriculture Museum on my own... it was a pain to get out the door and we didn't get there as early as I had hoped.. BUT these two pictures show you what I felt, it was WELL worth the trouble to see the boys having so much fun here. 

Monday August 6th and Tuesday August 7th - Visit to Hans and Jan's trailer

The last stop of our vacation was a night at Hans and Jan's trailer. What a GREAT spot they have. Beautiful trailer and area to be in. The kids had a ball. Playing in the park, swimming, playing with Chevy, they loved it all. What a GREAT ending to our wonderful vacation..

Thursday August 2nd to Monday August 6th - Visit to Hamilton

We went to Hamilton to visit with Uncle Fraser, Aunt Heather and their new addition Oscar. What an amazing time we had visiting some awesome friends... It was super hot and a lot of fun.. Made us think once again how great it would be if they lived closer to us. Well here's hoping the future holds us living somehow. 

Here is Campbell playing piano with Uncle Fraser. He thought this was so GREAT!! And Fraser was awesome with him.

 We all walked down to the local park for the boys to play. They had a good time.

Sunday July 29th to Wednesday August 1st, 2012 - Lumina Resort and Visit on Poppa's Boat

Here is our cottage for the five nights we stayed at Lumina Resort, "The Brownie".

Campbell on Daddy's shoulders.. It was so great for J and myself to have so much time with the boys.. just playing.. breakfast and supper are supplied at the dining room, so that didn't take away from our family time.. which was amazing.. 

Campbell really turned into an even better big brother.. taking such good care of Miles.. Seeing them holding hands was one of my favourite things.

The meals were great.. and they had certain things every meal geared towards kids.. Here is Campbell eating his desert one night which was his first ice cream cookie sandwich which as you can see was covered in sprinkles.. he was just thrilled with it.

Can you tell from the look between father and son here that they are having a good time with the boys.. I love that I caught this on camera.. It was a lot of fun, even though the weather didn't really cooperate.

We swam in the pool too of course.. Campbell could stay in the water all day, I think.

Campbell at the top of the mountain after climbing all the way to the top.. once again the water is over J's head out there.. climbing down was hard and I there was a bit of a scary fall.. but he was still swimming around after.. so it didn't stop him from liking the water and having lots of fun in it..

There was a lot of building and digging in the sand on the beach of course..

Here is our table.. The first night you are given a family table and a server.. for the rest of your stay you have that table and server.. Here we are at our table in our tie dyed shirts.. :)

Oma came to visit on our last day there.. Really nice for the boys to have some more time with Oma on her own.. Here is Campbell showing Oma around Lumina.

We went on a bunch of nature walks after supper (partly because they are fun and parly because we ate too much at supper and needed to walk some off).. Can you see the deer in the background here? There is one Mommy and a baby with spots and all.. Campbell and Miles were so amazed by them..

Sometimes on the nature walks all we saw were cats but Campbell and Miles really liked them as well..

For only a five night stay and we really only spent 3.5 days on the resort, we did a lot of stuff and had a huge amount of fun.. Campbell proved to be a bigger boy than J or myself had realized and it was amazing to spend so much time as a family having FUN!!
