Sunday July 1st, 2012 - Canada Day

This year for Canada Day J and I thought it would be fun to take the boys downtown for the celebrations during the morning and then head back home for nap time.. We weren't expecting as many people to be downtown in the morning as there were but it was still a lot of fun and definitely an experience for the boys..
Campbell wanted his face painted and was so proud of his Canada flag (he called it), the girl that did it even put some sparkles on it for him..

Campbell during a horse race.. this was hilarious to watch.. this volunteer bounced Campbell around a hay bale as he hung on for dear life and tried to bounce too.. I think it was fun.. :)

We waited in line for Campbell to go in this fake horse and meet a real cowboy and he was showing kids how to throw a lasso.. I do not think Campbell realized what he was waiting for as there were a lot of people around.. and during the wait in the line up there was a really cool trampoline show that Campbell and Miles were laughing out loud at. Anyway he got to the front and got on the horse and froze with shyness.

We brought the wagon, which worked out well.. they both could ride and when Campbell or Miles wanted to walk we could put bags and what not in it.

 Campbell had an ice cream after we had our picnic lunch we headed back to the car and bought an ice cream for him to have on the way.. WOW what a mess.. but he really enjoyed it.. There were ice cream puddles in the gathers of his shirt and shorts. Great time had by all..

Saturday June 30th, 2012 - Splash pad and Freezies

Due to the wonderfully hot weather we had through May and June here we spent a lot of time at the Splash pads around Ottawa with our friends.. Here are a few pictures that I took on a Saturday at the Splash pad in Riverside South which is the closest one..
The water is just straight from the hydrant basically so it is extremely cold.. but the kids don't mind once they are in it..

Sunday June 24th, 2012 - First Fort

Here is the first fort that we made inside.. Campbell was so excited and of course the kids had to have a snack in the fort.. We will definitely have to do more forts on rainy days..

Tuesday June 19th, 2012 - Miles' First Time Painting

Here are some pictures of Miles' first time painting.. I made paper mache the week before with Campbell.. So this day we decided to paint them.. So we got Miles involved.. It was fun..

 Of course he ate some.. but didn't like the taste of it, luckily..

 It felt funny too. ;)

 Campbell always loves to paint, draw or do any type of craft.

Sunday June 17th, 2012 - Daddy's Day at the Beach with Friends

Daddy's Day was a beautiful day and we met up with Sharie, Kevin, Attie and Seth at Baxter Beach and had a picnic lunch and a GREAT time.

Then we had ice cream.. it was a warm day but there was a real breeze and the kids were wet.. so the ice creams made the kids shiver.

Saturday June 16th, 2012 - Second Day at Soccer for Campbell

Today was Campbell's second week in soccer. The first day we got some pictures.. he loves it and was so excited to play. There were lots of high fives, laughs and smiles. He did so well and had lots of fun..

Friday June 8th, 2012 - Last Day of Gymnastics Post 2

Again clips of the great stuff that they teach and get the kids to do.. This was the first class that Campbell could do on his own as a three year old.. He was also in it in the Winter session as well.
