March 23, 24, 2013 - Weekend of J's Birthday and Oma's visit

Oma came to visit on Saturday and stayed that night.. She brought some treats early from the Easter bunny.. Here they are putting together the toy from a very large Kinder egg.

Out for supper at Burgers on Main to celebrate Daddy's birthday and Oma's visit. The waiter was nice enough to bring out two big pieces of cake on a plate because it was a birthday.. He didn't sing though.. ;)

Sunday morning Daddy opened his gifts with Campbell and Miles to help of course.

Outside for a bike ride and walk, even though it was COLD!! but we had to try to make it seem like spring somehow.. can you see all that snow.. YUCKO!

 On our way back home.. didn't go too far cause it was COLD!

Still trying to make it seem like spring, the kids wanted to swing.. Hard to push them cause the snow had me standing high in relation to the swing.. ;) but they had fun..

Campbell and J played some ball hockey too.. "HE SCORED!!"

After supper we lit some candles in one of the monster cupcakes and sang to Daddy.. Fun filled weekend.. ;)

Friday March 22, 2013 - Decorating Cupcakes for Daddy's Birthday

So for J's birthday I thought that Campbell and Miles might like to decorate cupcakes for it.. We were thinking aliens but I think in the end they were more like monsters.. I made the cupcakes and had them cooled and ready to ice... Made the green icing and iced them while they decorated.. they had gummy candies, candy eyes, and green and brown chocolate pieces cut up. 

Well what a hit this was. They loved it and I had a hard time keeping up with them. I thought that they might get bored of it after a couple but no. I only got to decorate 2 cupcakes and they did the other 10. Campbell just kept saying "This is so much fun Mommy. This one is going to have 3 eyes.", etc. and Miles kept saying "More eyes Mommy." "More gummies Mommy."

Some of the final products.. they were so proud to show J when he got home.. there was no way we were going to be able to keep them a surprise. ;)

Wednesday March 20, 2013 - Boys Being Silly

Yep this is the same date as the last post.. I have an exercise class on Wednesday nights so the boys get to be crazy.. Just kidding of course they are crazy with me too.. But J seems to be better at catching it on video.. ;) Check out a little of the crazy fun we get to have almost everyday.. :)

Sunday March 17, 2013 - Miles' 2nd Birthday Party

Miles wanted of course a "Monkey cake" for his birthday party and leading up to the big day if you asked him anything about his birthday, all he would say is "Monkey cake."
Here he is with his MONKEY CAKE! He loved it..

His birthday party was a big hit. Only had three families at it but it was nice and all the kids had fun playing.
Here is his face while everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him and I was bringing out the Monkey Cake.

Friday March 15, 2013 - Mommy's Birthday

So yep today is my big day. I had a great day with my boys, watching them play with some new toys from Irv at J's work and playdoh with some new playdoh toys was so much fun.. They together must have play for an hour and a half with the playdoh.. it was awesome to see and I love watching them have fun..

Then for supper we went out for my favourite vietnamese place in Manotick. As you can see Miles loves it too.. and even though I don't have a picture, Campbell always loves it too.. What a great day.. Was a great birthday..
